Blister Packaging Technician 3rd Shift

Work as part of a team operating pharmaceutical packaging lines on the 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday 10:00pm – 6:30am). Operate packaging equipment, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with cGMPs and safety procedures while supporting a clean, modern production environment.

• Maintain accurate and concurrent documentation of all tasks completed, including timecards, batch records, and logbooks.
• Operate assigned equipment such as PLC‑controlled packaging lines, vision systems, and in‑process devices.
• Set‑up, disassemble, and clean production equipment and facilities.
• Operate material‑handling devices including electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and hi‑lifts.
• Apply the metric system to assigned process calculations.
• Follow all SOPs/cGMPs applicable to the area, apply proper housekeeping techniques, and follow dress and secondary gowning policy.
• Practice safety techniques, including lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, and read and interpret MSDSs.
• Use PPE as required: safety shoes, safety glasses, respirators, gloves, hearing protection, etc.
• Demonstrate decision‑making skills: delegate issues upward, follow written or oral directions, stop the process for anomalies, identify out‑of‑spec material.
• Understand production/ process flow, proper staging, storage locations, and key pharmaceutical terminology.
• Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors, applying appropriate teamwork communication techniques.
• Perform PC tasks as required.

• High‑school diploma or equivalent plus 6–12 months of relevant experience.
• Read and interpret written procedures; apply general math skills.
• Basic mechanical skills and experience with hand tools.
• Preferred:
  Technical school certificate or 1–2 years of college; minimum one year manufacturing experience.
• Experience with vision systems and robotic fillers.
• Proficiency with Windows‑based PC applications.

• Good lifting techniques; routine lifting of 20–40lbs; occasional lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, work flexible hours and overtime, and move up/down stairs/ladders.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, product dust/particulate, loud noise, temperature variations, and heights up to 25ft.
