Opportunity

Your hourly competitive starting pay – $22.50/hour.

Shift differential: $1.00.

Schedule:

4:00 PM – 12:45 AM.

As a General Production team member, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high‑quality food by performing essential production tasks and supporting your coworkers.

What You’ll Do
  • Use hand tools, knives, machinery, and other equipment to process meat products.
  • Perform duties that may be physically demanding and require good hand‑eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to work scheduled shifts and overtime as required.
  • Make appropriate weight, temperature, time, and other checks to ensure product quality as set by management.
  • Complete all company‑required paperwork to document periodic quality checks, account for produced product, and provide other records such as entering information into the ADC system.
  • Read schedule and calculate the correct tree count per product scheduled.
  • Check hanging inventory and lot availability to ensure the lots are scheduled to be packed and are approved to pack per food safety.
  • Check temperature of all products to make sure it is within the appropriate temperature guidelines allowed by food safety.
  • Communicate all information regarding product changes to Line Leads in a sufficient amount of time.
  • Issue, manually issue, and reverse product trees to production.
  • Assist Tree Strippers as needed.
  • Qualify as a tree pusher through classroom training as well as on‑the‑job training.
  • Operate the Lowerator by following the appropriate procedure to ensure employee safety.
  • Continuously lift product weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Use a stripper knife to open netting or bags on product.
  • Exert maximum muscle force to push trees up to 2,000 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Check product for non‑conformances per product specification.
  • Maintain yield by executing job tasks with minimal waste.
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Perform tasks that require continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing, and extending arms.
  • Stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12‑hour shift.
  • Work around animal blood and/or carcass parts.
  • Use a knife (if trained).
  • Work in cold areas (approximately 20‑40°F) and/or warm areas (over 100°F).
  • Work in a wet and humid environment.
  • Work while wearing a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel‑toed safety shoes.
  • Work in a noisy environment using personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals.
  • Work around strong smells/odors.
  • Climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms.
  • Bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift.
  • Walk long distances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Perform repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Lifting single heavy objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Use mechanical assistance for lifting if needed.
  • Work in wet, humid, noisy, and varied temperature environments.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and safety gear at all times.
