Stockroom Keeper
At our Cleveland Service Center in Cleveland, Ohio, we re‑manufacture alternators for EVO, HDL, and FDL locomotives. The Stockroom Keeper is responsible for maintaining stockroom levels, loading/unloading trucks, and distributing product and materials to the appropriate departments efficiently.
Primary PurposeMaintain stockroom levels, load/unload trucks, distribute product/materials to departments. The role reports directly to the Supervisor and is a 2nd‑shift position (Monday‑Friday 3:00 pm‑11:30 pm).
Duties And Responsibilities- Perform Oracle transactions, receiving material and handling load/unload trucks. Issue materials to the production floor.
- Maintain stockrooms with a focus on safety and accident prevention.
- Support the Material TA in creating and maintaining visual management for all three stockrooms.
- Communicate stock levels to management using roto‑cubes and two‑bin Kanban systems.
- Complete weekly cycle counts and communicate results.
- Assist Working Leaders in developing production floor visual management.
- Support various departments as required.
- Meet aggressive delivery schedules and productivity goals and make/implement recommendations to improve the repair process and quality.
- Perform tasks required to repair alternators and generators.
- All other duties assigned by supervision.
- At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Tow‑motor experience preferred.

- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Regularly required to see and observe small handwriting, labels, and components.
- Regularly required to wear steel‑toe shoes and safety glasses.
- Position requires on‑site presence during scheduled shift to perform daily duties and responsibilities.
- Non‑temperature‑controlled environment; frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
- Exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions during operations.
- Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
