Website Intern

Reports to: Director of E-Commerce - DTC

is the definitive shopping experience for the Simple Modern brand. The Website Intern supports the sales channel through catalog management, promotional implementation, merchandising input, marketing and social media initiatives, data analysis, and web development.

We Exist to Give Generously

• Listing Management:
  Making sure that our website listings, especially for back to school, are shoppable, include the appropriate information, and look polished.
• Feature Development:
  Fully developing an online store functionality from idea generation to implementation of final product
• Data Analysis:
  Make recommendations for pricing, promotion, and purchasing based on historical data and current market trends. Monitor health of unit economics and help optimize contribution profit

• Self-Directed & Resourceful: A track record of teaching yourself new tools or systems and figuring things out without a playbook or close supervision. Look for evidence like running a project end-to-end with no formal guidance, or learning a new platform/skill on your own initiative.
• High Capacity:
  Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables at once without dropping the ball.
• Critical Thinking & Judgment: A history of sound, independent decisions.
• Data Comfort:
  Comfortable working in spreadsheets and dashboards, comparing numbers over time, and drawing a conclusion from them — not just reporting them.
• Competent:
  Listen. I don’t expect a college student to know how to run an e-commerce business. I will enjoy teaching you these skills. I’m looking for someone smart, hard-working, and eager to learn.
