Summit Church has been rooted in Lincoln, CA for over 30 years — and right now, we’re stepping into one of the most exciting chapters of our story. Lincoln is one of the fastest‑growing cities in California, and we’re re‑introducing ourselves to a shifting, diverse, and hungry community.

This isn’t maintenance ministry. This is a ground‑floor moment to build something that will shape the next generation of this city for decades to come.

At Summit Church, we exist to live, help, and love like Jesus — and kids ministry is at the heart of that. As Summit Kids Pastor, you won’t just run programs. You’ll shape the spiritual foundation of children and families, casting vision, leading volunteers, and creating environments where the gospel comes alive every single weekend.

• Vision & Leadership – Cast a clear discipleship vision and collaborate with church leadership to build excellent, intentional environments.
• Team Development – Recruit, equip, and grow volunteers — building leaders, not just filling slots.
• Programming & Discipleship – Design age‑appropriate, gospel‑centered curriculum and oversee events including VBS and Base 45.
• Events & Outreach – Lead Kid Kraze VBS, Sunday Funday, Easter, Harvest, Christmas, and quarterly serve days.
• Family Engagement – Partner with parents as primary spiritual leaders through resources, small groups, and connection events.
• Student Ministry Bridge – Create a seamless kids‑to‑youth pathway including Youth Preview Night and Level Up Sunday.

• Develop and execute a growth‑centered, goal‑driven plan for engaging new families and stirring re‑engagement and re‑connection with existing Summit families
• Lead weekly Sunday morning huddles, as well as quarterly all‑team volunteer meetings, to keep your team informed, encouraged, motivated and equipped
• Prioritize child‑safety by ensuring all volunteers hold current background checks and Sexual Abuse Awareness training
• Generate weekly communications to volunteers and monthly
• Develop and manage the Summit Kids budget; set and evaluate annual ministry goals
• Oversee check‑in systems, classroom supplies, and attendance & participation‑incentive programs across all age groups
• Host regularly‑scheduled family connection activities and events
• Facilitate small groups for families that support relationship connections and community support
• Collaborate with Small Groups leadership to support adult groups when childcare is needed

• Love kids and feel genuinely called to kids ministry
• Communicate clearly, consistently, and with warmth
• Bring energy, creativity, and excellence to every environment
• Think strategically and follow through with execution
• Lead and develop volunteers with intentionality
• Partner well with families and other ministry teams
• Are committed to gospel‑centered, age‑appropriate discipleship
