Job Description

First Christian Church in Laverne, OK is seeking a Full Time Minister to join their congregation. Essential Minister duties include:

• Morning message and a weekly Bible study.
  • Our church members teach Sunday school and do the Communion mediation.
• Calling on church members when needed.
• Funerals, weddings, and hospital visits.
• Be a positive representative of our church in our small community.

Offering a decent salary, and a nice three bedroom – two bath parsonage with a detached two car garage and storm shelter.

• Small church in Northwest Oklahoma.
• Loving congregation & close-knit church family.
• Conservative in beliefs, but open to new ideas.
• Possibility of church growth – new members and returning old members.
• Active CWF (Christian Women’s Fellowship) and Women’s Tuesday Coffee.
• Numerous Church Activities and Missions:
  • Several listed here:
    • Provide ALL Laverne 5th grade students with school supplies;
    • Support “High Plains School of Missions” week and their missionaries;
    • Hanging of the Greens (Christmas);
    • Ground Hog Dinner community fund raiser,
    • Maundy Thursday service and 12-Hour Prayer Chain (Easter),
    • Fellowship dinner every third Sunday after church.
