Mercy is seeking an RN Manager to lead a team of registered nurses in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In this role, you will oversee daily unit operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation, while ensuring adherence to clinical standards, regulatory guidelines, and safety protocols. You will mentor and develop nursing staff, coordinate interdisciplinary care, monitor quality metrics, and drive process improvements.

The RN Manager collaborates closely with physicians and leadership to enhance patient outcomes and supports Mercy’s culture of compassion, diversity, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise RN staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
  • Oversee daily unit operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Develop, coach, and evaluate nursing staff performance and support professional growth
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and analyze quality, safety, and patient satisfaction metrics and implement improvements
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary care with physicians and allied health professionals
  • Participate in budgeting, resource planning, and efficiency initiatives for the unit
  • Support orientation, training, and ongoing education for nursing staff
  • Promote a culture of compassion, diversity, teamwork, and continuous learning
  • Respond to escalated clinical issues and provide leadership during emergencies

Requirements
  • Active RN license in state of practice
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Certification in Nursing Administration (e.g., NE-BC, NEA-BC) preferred
  • Prior leadership or charge nurse experience in acute care preferred
