The Nebraska City Union Starbucks Shift Manager serves as a member of the management team by providing leadership, direction and supervision to Team Members during their shift and ensuring a high - quality experience for guests. Our management team acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks.
In this role you will:
- Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude, connecting with the customer and providing quality beverages, whole bean and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
- Follow Starbucks, UNL , health, safety, and sanitation operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift
- Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties
- Supervise and lead a team of baristas during the shift to ensure the delivery of legendary customer service for all customers
- Create a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching, training and feedback to partners on shift to ensure operational excellence and to improve barista performance
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Develop positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns
- Maintain and model a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to a high standard and set a positive example for the shift team

MinimumRequired Qualifications
- High school or equivalent experience
- One year of experience in a work environment
- Training and certification provided
- Ability to read, write, weigh and measure necessary
- Ability to communicate essential
- Must have the ability to train and lead others
- Barista experience
- Supervision of a team
- Food Handler's permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test.
$18.25/hr minimum
