Position: (Senior) Medical Science Liaison - Ozarks - Oklahoma City, Kansas City

Overview

We are seeking a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) to support the commercial and educational objectives of the company. This role will be based in the Ozarks – (Oklahoma City, Kansas City). The MSL will act as a regional expert on Tempus oncology assays, promoting the exchange of clinical, scientific, and technical information with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other healthcare providers in oncology.

Responsibilities
  • Support sales and commercial teams as a regional expert on Tempus oncology assays.
  • Facilitate education of a broader healthcare provider community within the region through in‑person or virtual presentations.
  • Communicate scientific data proactively and reactively with KOLs and other practitioners.
  • Provide scientific education for internal stakeholders in collaboration with the Learning & Development team.
  • Attend conferences and key meetings, providing comprehensive synopses and summarising high‑impact abstracts, posters, or oral presentations.
  • Continuously update internal stakeholders on relevant medical and scientific knowledge and share market intelligence.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Fundamental understanding of molecular oncology and related patient‑management algorithms.
  • Existing relationships with oncology KOLs.
  • Working knowledge of genomic laboratory‑developed testing (LDT) and familiarity with CLIA‑88, CAP, and Sunshine Act (2013).
  • Public‑speaking and strong communication skills to effectively convey scientific concepts.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to educate and train across departments.
  • Self‑starter with an ownership mindset; able to adhere to tight timelines.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Advanced scientific or medical degree (PhD, Pharm

    D, MD, MSN, BSN). Basic understanding of oncology required; advanced understanding of molecular testing strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of MSL experience in diagnostics, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries.
