Description
We are currently looking for a Part Time 38 Security Officer II to join our Border Casino Security Sub Unit 3 team located at the Border Casino working 3rd Shift.
SummaryGuards and monitors company grounds to prevent theft, violence or other loss of company property. Provides full security services including active patrols, situation de‑escalation, apprehension, guarding facility entrances or specific locations, escorting patrons, escorting and monitoring drop team and money carts, preparing reports and some administrative functions including: filing, sorting, organizing, phone calls, data entry and report tracking. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher‑level staff.
Responsibilities- Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency.
- Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities.
- Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types.
- Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment.
- Maintains and promotes professionalism.
- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics.
- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards.
- Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area.
- Develops and maintains documentation as appropriate – files, logs, records, reports, etc.
- Communicates via radio per division and position protocols.
- Communicates with other team members, departments, guests and management.
- Shares general and important information.
- Lists to others.
- Follows divisional, departmental and organizational protocols.
- Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information.
- Prepares incidents reports.
- Monitors and ensures the safety of guests, employees and tribal assets based on assigned duty station:
- May guard facility entrances – controlling access and alarming others as necessary.
- Escorts patrons or guests.
- Escorts/monitors drop team and money carts when assigned to gaming facility.
- May prepare temporary visitor IDs.
- Responds to security breaches.
- Executes internal and external patrols of assigned areas and locations.
- Monitors opening and closing machines for routine repairs and maintenance when assigned to gaming facility.
- Follows guidelines to protect guests and employees in emergency situations such as inclement weather, fire, active shooter, etc.
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff, direct supervisor or next level manager.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Able to follow instructions, both written and oral.
- Ensures compliance.
- Adheres to all scheduling and attendance requirements.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality in all matters.
- Handles difficult customers and situations.
- Detail‑oriented.
- Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability.
- Reads, understands, applies, and retains knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Organizes work and assigned area logically and orderly.
- Works well within a team.
- Communicates verbally in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management.
- Good driving record and be insurable by the Chickasaw Nation.
- Basic computer skills.
- Skilled in operating a computer and/or other equipment related to specific role (i.e., automated currency counters, calculator, projector, binding machine, other related office equipment).
- Proficient in use and non‑use of firearms.
- Nonessential: 1 year directly related experience.
- Essential:
High School, GED or Equivalent.
- Must be over 18 years old.
- Pass gaming background check.
- Pass general background check.
- Pass Indian Child Welfare background check.
