POSITION SUMMARY
Provides daily support for MRO Storeroom functions, including general warehousing duties and supplying material items for Athens Operations plant personnel.
PRIMARY DUTIES- Receive freight and non‑freight vendor deliveries; unload material, check all documentation from drivers (packing slips, bills of lading, etc.), and inspect material for damages.
- Receive material into MRO Stores inventory, log received material into daily log sheets, file required documentation, and place material into designated storage locations.
- Compare identifying information and counts, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Deliver material to designated delivery point, ensuring that all receipts are signed for in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Supply MRO Supervisor with reports for key performance indicators (KPIs) including outbound shipments, stock‑outs, deliveries, pickups, backorders, good receipts, and pick tickets.
- Strictly comply with all corporate, state, and federal guidelines regarding receipts, bills of lading, and other documents or document control procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing inventory control environment.
- Basic mathematical skills to perform inventory control procedures.
- Elementary knowledge of storeroom methods and procedures, shipment methods, and the ability to keep simple receiving and shipping records.
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Office and the ability to update computer‑generated inventories and documents.
- Enter purchase order receipts into the computer system and print receiving tags.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail/accuracy.
The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, occasionally stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
