LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a reputable manufacturing company. A family-owned manufacturing company in Moorestown, NJ is seeking an experienced Manager of Cost Accounting. The ideal candidate will manage cost accounting functions, ensure accurate cost analysis and reporting, and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work with cross-functional teams, and a deep understanding of cost accounting principles in a manufacturing environment.

Location: Moorestown, NJ
Work Arrangement: Fully onsite
Responsibilities:
- Manage cost accounting activities: standard costing, job order costing, variance analysis, and pricing updates.
- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of product and operational costs.
- Lead and mentor a small team of cost accountants.
- Review and analyze cost structures and trends.
- Provide detailed cost insights and actionable recommendations for cost and profitability improvements.
- Oversee inventory valuation and ensure proper costing of goods in process and finished goods.
- Design and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and external regulations.
- Collaborate with supply chain and production teams for accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
- Support other departments with cost-related inquiries and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 7 years of cost accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and present complex financial information clearly.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
