Role Description

The Senior Tax Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Moorestown, NJ. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. The role includes researching complex tax issues, interpreting tax law changes, and advising on tax planning opportunities for clients. Day-to-day responsibilities involve managing tax compliance deadlines, coordinating with team members to resolve tax-related questions, and communicating clearly with clients about their filings and strategies.

The Senior Tax Associate will also help improve internal processes, support junior staff through mentoring and review, and contribute to maintaining high service standards across the firm.

Qualifications
  • Strong tax compliance and tax preparation skills, including experience with a variety of return types.
  • Solid understanding of tax law and general tax principles, with the ability to research and interpret complex regulations.
  • Foundational knowledge in finance to support tax planning, analysis, and advisory work.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred.
  • Several years of recent public accounting or tax-focused experience, ideally in a client-service environment.
  • Proficiency with tax preparation software and accounting systems, along with strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues to clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
