Our client, a major player in the energy and infrastructure space, is seeking a Manager of Capital Investment to lead capital project execution and strategic facility upgrades across its retail and wholesale fuel network. This role is responsible for coordinating construction, maintenance, and environmental compliance activities, ensuring high standards are met for safety, branding, and operational performance.
This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Moorestown, NJ, with approximately 50% of the role involving field‑based oversight.
Key ResponsibilitiesDirect capital construction and improvement projects at retail and wholesale fueling sites. Manage rebranding, debranding, and site enhancement programs (e.g., lighting upgrades, power washing, signage, pavement work). Lead the full project lifecycle—from scope development and bid review to contractor oversight, site inspections, and final approvals. Track and authorize service requests, monitor station closures due to maintenance issues, and coordinate with field personnel to resolve site‑level challenges.
Maintain a master database of technical specifications and equipment across the network. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal permitting requirements. Collaborate with department leadership on budgeting and long‑term capital planning. Assist in developing safety and construction standards; ensure vendor adherence to company protocols. Provide ongoing support to the maintenance group for service tracking and documentation using web‑based platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required. PE certification preferred. 2–5+ years of experience in capital projects, construction oversight, or infrastructure investment (fuel, retail, or industrial sectors preferred). Strong knowledge of construction management processes, permitting, and vendor coordination. Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with web‑based maintenance tracking tools is a plus.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally (approx. 50% field-based).
Combination of office and field work, including active construction zones and operational fuel sites. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and safely navigate varied terrain and environmental conditions. Regular exposure to noise, weather, and physical job site elements.
