Perform Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) related duties in support of the RMS’s Supplier Quality Assurance organization for product delivered to the Lockheed RMS facilities. Primary job responsibility would include support to cable/connector and COTS material, with expected growth into different material commodities.
Play a key role in supporting the manufacturing floor working alongside Product Quality to discern vendor responsible defects, assisting with stock purges and returning non-compliant product to vendors. Additional SQE activities include review of program contractual and drawing requirements and flow down of requirements on purchase orders and providing support to Procurement for supplier quality activities on commodity and/or subcontract procurements.
Also responsible for basic quality services including: supplier evaluation, verification of special processes, part acceptance planning, defect analysis, timely root cause and corrective action implementation for affected products. Makes recommendations on potential supplier usage based on cost, inspection of facilities, risk assessments, and historical performance. Successful candidates will also need to provide reporting on hardware and supply chain quality metrics utilized to manage SQA and supplier performance.
Some travel may also be required with regards to supplier engagements, audits, source inspections, etc.

Basic Qualifications- Previous Quality Experience or technical working experience with cables and connectors
- Background with electrical and/or mechanical commodities
- Able to effectively communicate and interface with suppliers, Program Management, Engineering, Subcontracts Management team, and Operations
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Analysis/Critical thinking/Problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Experience with SAP based ERP and MRP systems
- Technical experience
- Audit experience
- Formal RCCA training and experience
- Familiarity with industry strandard (J-Std, IPC, etc)

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
