Systems Architect Sr Stf

Lockheed Martin – Global Sustainment:
Information Systems and Innovation organization is seeking a highly energetic professional with a strong background in software engineering, model‑based systems engineering (MBSE), platform integration, lifecycle continuity, and artificial intelligence to support Lockheed Martin – Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS).

As a digital thread system architect, the candidate will design and implement interconnected data ecosystems that trace a product’s lifecycle from initial requirements through design, manufacturing, sustainment, and support. This role bridges engineering, IT, and operations to ensure seamless data flow across platforms such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

• Lead development and design of digital thread technologies across the corporation.
• Engage in every phase of the system development lifecycle including requirements generation, system and software design, development, implementation, integration, and deployment.
• Conduct low‑TRL research, proof of concepts, prototype development, demonstrator building, and transition to production.
• Facilitate and lead development efforts using next‑gen technologies such as AI, digital twin, point cloud, robotics, and other IoT solutions.
• Apply advanced AI paradigms including computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning to design and develop new complex solutions.
• Serve as a focal point for LM RMS Global Sustainment, developing and communicating system architecture, ensuring mission needs translate into comprehensive system solutions.
• Lead major technical development efforts, own critical tasks, develop new system architectures, mentor junior engineers, brief internal and external customers, and support new business capture.
• Exhibit strong self‑motivation, work ethic, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Work at any major Lockheed Martin facility or remotely as required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in Systems Architecture, Systems Engineering, or related engineering fields.
• Proficiency with C#, Java, JavaScript, Type Script, HTML5, CSS, Go, and other compiled languages.
• Experience with PLM, ERP, and MES systems and their integrations.
• Working knowledge of designing systems and architecture for manufacturing applications.
• Experience with Dev Ops tools such as Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience interfacing with databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Postgre
  
  SQL, Mongo
  
  DB).
• Experience with large‑scale software architecture and design.
• Experience transitioning prototype software to production.
• Experience leading large technical teams.
• Experience building AI agents and training/deploying ML models.
• Experience developing applications on Windows and Linux platforms.
• Creative and resourceful problem‑solving skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold a government security clearance (Secret level).
• Strong oral and written communication; presentation skills to stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
