Engineering Design Support Specialist

Basic Qualifications

• Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
• Ability to read & interpret drawings and parts lists
• Experience with EPDM and ability to navigate drawings and PLs
• Ability to use CREO models to assist production/engineering issues
• At least 10 years’ experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years supporting Vertical Launching System manufacturing
• Production support and coordination between Operations and Engineering to resolve design/producity issues
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level required prior to start

We are seeking a Design Support Specialist to assist various hardware engineering development programs through their design, fabrication, and test stages. Responsibilities include generation of Material Handler Move Requests, expediting delivery of parts/equipment, ordering & expediting direct purchase orders, creating and maintaining documents across desktop applications, supporting engineers and managers with records and scheduling, interfacing at all levels of the organization, and providing VLS production support including fabrication issues, PR/ECN management, obsolescence management, supplier quality issues, and second‑source evaluations.
