Description

Responsibilities- Develop and deliver training programs to incoming team members and shop floor personnel in various work centers, including soldering, ESD handling, crimping, and cable assembly.
- Train personnel to meet the requirements of industry standards such as J-STD, ensuring compliance and adherence to best practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive training course materials, including manuals, guides, and visual aids, to support both formal classroom instruction and informal on-the-job training.
- Conduct training sessions in both formal classroom settings and informal on-the-job environments, adapting your approach to meet the needs of different learners and production workflows.
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement, ensuring that shop floor personnel have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
- Collaborate with production supervisors, quality engineers, and other stakeholders to identify training needs and develop targeted programs to address gaps in knowledge and skills.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, new technologies, and evolving standards, incorporating this knowledge into training programs to ensure the production team remains current and competitive.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering.
- Proven experience in manufacturing/methods engineering, training, or a related field with a strong focus on training and development.
- Broad knowledge of Lockheed processes and the work performed within various work centers.
- Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., J-STD, IPC‑610, IPC‑620) and experience with manufacturing processes such as soldering, ESD handling, crimping, and cable assembly.
- Prior training experience and ability to adapt to different learning styles, topics, and environments.
This position requires a U.S. Citizen and a government security clearance at the Secret level.
