The Work
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Cabinet Design group in the Sensor Mechanical Design Center. In this role, the selected candidate will work as part of an engineering team to responsible for the design, analysis, verification, and production support of mechanical structures, enclosures, and electronic modules for multiple programs across the RMS Line of Business. This candidate will interface with Systems, Electrical Engineers, Drafting and Operations personnel in the development of detailed designs and assembly strategies.

The selected candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams in the design, development, integration, and testing and requirements verification of these technologies, including the support of technical data packages, design reviews, supplier engagement, and lab & test facility activities.

Position is located in Moorestown, NJ.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional engineering experience
- Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling, Creo Parametric (preferred).
- Proven ability to work effectively with adjacent disciplines (electrical, software, manufacturing, etc.)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD SECRET clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired skills

- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experienced in conducting root cause corrective actions (RCCA) on complex production issues
- Familiarity with RF, digital and power distribution layouts and packaging

- Experience with structural and thermal analysis using ANSYS (including Ice Pak or other compatible FEA tools).
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and Design-for-Manufacturing principles
- Configuration Management:

Experience with BOM and configuration control, preferably using EPDM, Windchill or a comparable PLM system.
