Responsibilities
- Develop & implement PLC and multi‑axis motion control programs for advanced labeling systems.
- Create clear documentation to support assembly, testing, debugging, and long‑term servicing of equipment.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with automation, electrical, and mechanical engineers, as well as sales teams and customers, to fully define project scope and requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend hardware and software components that best fit each project’s needs.
- Troubleshoot & optimize complex automation systems to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
- B.S. in Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
- 7+ years in controls engineering focused on motion control and high‑speed automated machinery.
- Proven experience in multi‑axis motion control programming and structured text programming.
- Hands‑on experience with B&R Automation Studio (required) and familiarity with Allen Bradley Compact Logix and Control Logix PLCs (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of communication protocols: OPC‑UA, Powerlink, Ethernet/IP.
- HMI programming experience (required), ideally with B&R mapp
View and Allen Bradley Factory Talk SE/ME. - Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills for complex automation issues.
- SQL database experience (plus) and SCADA / MES experience (plus).
- Results‑driven with high standards, organized, team‑oriented, strong communicator, and analytical problem‑solver with a structured approach.
- Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000, based on experience.
