The WorkWe are seeking an Infrastructure (Network/Linux) Systems Engineer to participate on design teams for computing infrastructure in Moorestown, New Jersey. In this role you will:
- Participate in infrastructure engineering activities including product selection, design, development, deployment, integration and test.
- Install, configure, maintain, and secure Linux and network systems, ensuring their performance and reliability.
Travel (domestic or international) to off‑site locations, including direct support to surface ships or land‑based sites, is required.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering field such as electrical engineering, computer science/engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Linux system or network engineer, designing, implementing, deploying, and supporting a production computing infrastructure.
- In‑depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Knowledge of configuring and deploying network switches and routers, including VLANs and routing protocols (TCP/IP and multicast).
- Cybersecurity certification such as CompTIA Security+ or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally to off‑site locations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the Secret level. U.S. citizenship required.
- In‑depth knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing and switching.
- Strong understanding of Linux security, including SELinux, iptables, and FreeIPA authentication service.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible.
- Desire to travel to Guam for extended periods.
This position requires a U.S. DoD security clearance at the Secret level and U.S. citizenship.
