Our Radar Systems Engineering team is seeking a candidate to support architecture, design, concept of operations, requirements development, analysis, and implementation of high‑performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems.
In your role as a Sensor Systems Architect, you will:
- Perform concept of operations design, radar behavior definition, and associated requirements development to drive radar capability implementation across radar subsystems.
- Collaborate with subsystem teams to define clear, executable, and testable approaches for meeting mission success criteria.
- Conduct trade studies and analyze radar system‑level performance impacts to support and evaluate design decisions.
- Develop and present detailed design documentation.
- Represent the organization on contracts and interface with internal and external customers, program and senior leadership, and multi‑disciplinary teams on significant technical matters.
- Apply strong analytical and communication skills in a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary environment.
Security Clearance: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, or equivalent, with 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience.
- Functional knowledge of radar systems and subsystems.
- Demonstrated experience in system analysis, architecture, requirements development, trade studies, modeling and simulation, or integration and test.
- High proficiency in C++, MATLAB, or Python.
- U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
- Radar systems development experience including signal processing, antenna patterns, detection/tracking/discrimination algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling & simulation.
- Experience leading technical teams and collaborating across multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated analytical, applied mathematics, and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and Anti-Aircraft Warfare (AAW) concepts and design considerations.
- Active DoD Secret level clearance or higher.

The base range for this position in New Jersey is 130,000 – 244,662.
Work schedule:
4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Onsite full time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
