This role empowers the industrial engineering team to shape cost effective solutions for high visibility proposals, directly supporting mission critical programs and delivering measurable value to our customers and the enterprise.
The Industrial Engineer will partner with the capture team, data governance specialists, and manufacturing operations to develop and refine rate models, analytics, and simulation tools that drive efficiency and competitiveness across our proposals and production processes. In this role you will:
- Lead the development of complex industrial engineering rate models for annual proposals, delivering cost saving insights that influence senior decision makers.
- Assist the capture team in creating Touch Labor hours estimates for production proposals, applying advanced data analysis and Excel expertise.
- Analyze industrial engineering rates for proposals, presenting clear findings to stakeholders.
- Review, analyze, and communicate touch labor efficiency data for varying work centers of the production plant. Assist teams in developing and implementing Lean/flow solutions.
- Develop and enhance manufacturing analytics using manufacturing systems to enable data driven decision making.
- Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing operations by providing real time analytics and troubleshooting assistance to facilitate assembly performance.
- Collaborate with the Data Governance team on MSPO data analytics initiatives, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Create and refine Flex Sim models to simulate production scenarios and optimize processes.
- Utilize Solumina for manufacturing execution and process planning review.
- Assist in transition to future state 1
LMX manufacturing systems - Engage with Manufacturing Floor Support personnel, among others to develop, implement and track various analytics across the line of business.
- Collaborate with shop management for capacity planning and shop utilization metrics.
You are a detail oriented engineer who leads data driven analyses to deliver efficiencies across manufacturing operations, and you excel at communicating insights and organizing information with precision. A level 3 employee is mid-career and typically has 3+ years of professional experience.

Part-time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
