* We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Accelerated Materials & Product Development  AMPD  engineering department and laboratory  In this role you will design, analyze, and test a variety of structures and systems to ensure they meet project requirements and industry standards

** THE WORK*
* Lay out conceptual designs early in the design phase and support proposal efforts

 lead mechanical design with minimal support throughout the execution phase on multiple projects

 Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to evaluate material and component structural and thermal data applying it to the design

 Interpret design specifications, codes, and standards to ensure project compliance

 Collaborate with project teams to verify design intent and resolve issues promptly

 Provide technical support during fabrication and validation phases of the engineering cycle

 experience working programs in dynamic environments such as space or undersea applications

 comfortable working on a dynamic, fast paced team under demanding schedules

 Experience designing and manufacturing composite products
