Overview
Position:
Senior RF Engineer in Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business in Moorestown, NJ. The role reports directly to the Manager of RF & Microwave Engineering and focuses on design and development of hardware for antennas, phased arrays, and radar systems.
- Design and develop hardware supporting antennas, phased array antennas, active electronic steerable phased arrays, and associated distribution architectures for RADAR and other military systems.
- Perform lower‑level requirement development, component selection, schematic creation, and printed wiring board design.
- Conduct prototype testing and support transition to production of the hardware.
- Act as a program team member, communicating with internal and external customers; manage schedules, budgets, and development of test plans, trade studies, and requirements documents.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with at least 5 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in RF modeling and simulation.
- Experience with RF/Microwave PCB/CCA design and component selection.
- Proficiency with RF measurement techniques and test equipment.
- Ability to develop RF/Microwave design artifacts that ensure product development compliance with all customer requirements.
- Occasional travel to support program objectives.
- Ability to obtain and hold a SECRET-level security clearance; must be a U.S. citizen.
- Experience with RF receiver, exciter, transmitter, and/or synthesizer module design and development.
- Proficiency in PCB design using Mentor Xpedition, Altium, or Zuken.
- Proficiency in RF modeling with Key Sight ADS, HFSS, PSPICE, FEKO, System Vue, CST MW Studio, or AWR Microwave Office.
- Experience with power amplifier impedance matching and optimization.
- Experience with phased array radars.
- Leadership of multi‑discipline development teams and proven ability to manage cost and schedule.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with MS Office tools.
The position requires a U.S. citizen who can obtain and maintain a SECRET-level security clearance.
BenefitsCompetitive salary range: $91,000 – $181,113 (New Jersey).
