Position Overview
We are looking for a Hardware IPT Lead to help solve complex problems at Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) in Moorestown, NJ. The role focuses on leading hardware development teams through the design and test of digital subsystems for radar and other applications.
The WorkIn this role, you will contribute to the design and test of digital hardware, including servers, cabinets, high‑speed digital printed circuit boards, and other assemblies. You will lead hardware development teams of 5–20 engineers through the full hardware development process, aligning resources, scheduling, and milestones, conducting status meetings, and ensuring subsystem development, build, and testing meet schedule and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a technical liaison between Engineering & Technology leadership and Program Management.
- Facilitate weekly IPT status meetings and ensure transparent communication among stakeholders.
- Deliver concise oral and written updates to leadership, customers, and cross‑functional teams.
- Oversee subsystem development, build, and test activities to meet schedule, performance, and quality requirements.
- Foster close working relationships with associate IPT leads, functional managers, and customer counterparts.
- Collaborate with design and test teams on hardware design (servers, cabinets, PCB, cable) and integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience.
- Proven ability to contribute to hardware design work.
- Experience validating hardware and integrating with other assemblies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level.
- Problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience troubleshooting electronics at component/circuit board level.
- Cable design experience in Zuken E3.
- PCB design experience in Altium, Xpedition, or similar software.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems and document testing processes.
- Experience with change management and release processes.
You must be a U.S. citizen, and the position requires a government security clearance at the Secret level. The facility requires special access.
