The WorkThis position supports the Combat Systems Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) in Moorestown, NJ. The site is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of U.S. Navy Aegis shipboard weapon systems. You will become knowledgeable in Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) performance specifications and characteristics as well as the operation and maintenance of all Aegis equipment at CSEDS, including Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), Underwater Weapon Systems (UWS), Vertical Launch System (VLS), Surface Search and Horizon Search Radar Systems, and Ring Laser Gyro Navigation (RLGN) system.
Key Responsibilities- Work in a team environment, responding to system testing requirements and directing technical activities.
- Provide solutions to technical problems of significant scope and complexity that contribute to the completion of specific Aegis baseline programs and projects.
- Perform baseline computer program integration.
- Develop and test requirements related to Aegis systems.
- Have a proven ability to take responsibility for tasks and respond to changing priorities.
- Be capable of working in a team environment and meeting team deliverables.
- Possess excellent attention to detail.
- BS Degree in Engineering or STEM field with a minimum of 2 years of experience OR a minimum of 4 years of military‑related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with U.S. Navy Aegis combat/weapon systems.
- Knowledgeable in U.S. Navy shipboard combat system element performance, specifications, and characteristics.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Knowledge/experience with Phalanx CIWS and/or Mk41 VLS.
- Experience working with U.S. Navy customers.
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems and networks.
- Analytical thinker with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems requiring ingenuity and innovation.
- Excellent oral and written communication, technical writing, and planning/organizational skills.
This position requires a U.S. Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.
