The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for producing high quality financial analysis and reporting to assist the business with informed decision making and support our internal and external customers.

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Analyze and compare monthly and quarterly results, metrics and key performance indicators against plan and other benchmarks.
• Complete month-end close activities and related entries and reconciliations within established deadlines.
• Detailed review and analysis of multiple key areas including fixed assets, prepaid, leases and accruals.
• Conducts insightful variance analysis between actual results and budget/forecasts as part of monthly financial reporting package.
• Prepares and coordinates with appropriate team members on monthly senior management reporting package.
• Develop and maintain financial models, trend and scenario analysis to support business with financial and strategic initiatives.
• Perform ROI analysis and maintain scorecard of all Capital Projects and provide status of projects and spend on monthly basis.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline workflow enabling increased focus on analytics.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support our business partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance (or similar discipline with appropriate work experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting or financial reporting/analysis experience required.
• Property/Casualty insurance industry experience preferred but not required.
• CPA or MBA is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
• Superior analytical skills and a thorough understanding of GAAP principles required.
• Possess a strong sense of urgency and attention to details. Effectively sets priorities, takes accountability and achieves results.
• Possess strong problem-solving skills along with sense of ownership and accountability.
• Capable of building solid working relationships with peers and management.
• Advanced skills in MS Office Suite are a requirement. SQL Management Studio and spreadsheet modeling skills are a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
