Certified Medication Aide (CMA) - Moorestown, NJSalary Range: $21.00 - $25.00 an hour
Location:
Harmony Village at Care One Stanwick Road
- Provide medication administration to residents under direction of RN.
- Provide patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, back rubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.
- Assist with activities of daily living by aiding with meal service, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
- Administer adjunct care such as enemas, douches, non‑sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sits and therapeutic baths, and applying restraints.
- Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information.
- Provide patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering call lights and requests; reporting observations to nursing supervisor.
- Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Maintain work operations by following policies and procedures.
- Serve and protect the community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and JCHAO standards.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations; maintaining licensure.
- Enhance nursing department and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Proper licensing in the state of the job.
- Experience in administering oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic medications and subcutaneous injections.
- Previous CMA experience and must also be a Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Multi‑tasker, able to proceed in a courteous and professional manner.
