Position: Cyber Security Engineer Senior (Represented)

Who You Are
  • Passionate about cybersecurity and eager to contribute skills and expertise to our mission.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in cybersecurity or systems administration through practical, hands‑on work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical‑thinking abilities, and ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Solid working knowledge of Linux (predominantly Red Hat) or Windows‑based systems, with an active CompTIA Security+ or higher IAT certification.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security clearance or higher.
  • Experience with ESS, ACAS, or Splunk security tools is a plus, as well as experience with Windows Active Directory and familiarity with DISA STIGs.
The Work
  • Hardening operating systems, applications, and network devices.
  • Conducting vulnerability scans.
  • Continuous monitoring of the security posture of the system.
  • Assisting with Government Certification Test and Evaluation (CT&E) and Vulnerability Testing.
  • Implementing security updates and patches.
  • Applying configuration changes to ESS, ACAS, and Splunk security tools.
  • Providing support to maintain the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of the system, including support of the RMF package.
  • Supporting system administrators, engineers, and operators when troubleshooting events.
  • Collaborating with system stakeholders to ensure the cybersecurity posture of the system is maintained.
  • Interfacing with and supporting the ISSO and other government security stakeholders.
  • Supporting the Security Impact Analysis (SIA) process through the generation of Contract Deliverables (CDRL) and RMF supporting artifacts on both unclassified and classified networks.
Basic Qualifications
  • Related Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 3+ years of equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrable and relevant cybersecurity engineering or systems administration experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Linux or Windows‑based systems.
  • Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification or higher (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or CISSP).
  • Ability to obtain a Secret DoD Secret security clearance prior to starting; requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to travel up to 15 % to customer sites across the U.S.
  • Valid U.S. passport.
Desired Skills
  • Tenable Security Center, Tenable Nessus, and ACAS administration experience.
  • Experience with cloud and container orchestration environments such as Red Hat Open Shift and Kubernetes.
  • ACAS scanning.
  • Trellix and Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) administration and monitoring.
  • Splunk or other SIEM tools experience.
  • Endpoint Detection Response (EDR) capabilities.
  • Linux/Red Hat or Windows OS certifications.
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory and Group Policy maintenance.
  • Familiarity with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
  • Troubleshooting as a systems administrator.
  • Good organizational and coordination skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support and collaborate with a team.
  • Critical thinking skills to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Familiarity with eMASS and maintaining and executing a POA&M.
Security Clearance

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen. Clearance level:
Secret.

Job Details
  • Work schedule:

    4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week (part‑time remote telework and part‑time in‑facility).
  • Compensation:
    Base range for New Jersey—$91,000 – $181,113.
  • Remote:
    Part‑time remote telework; schedule to be discussed during hiring.
