Summary

The Procurement Team Lead is responsible for leading the day‑to‑day procurement activities to ensure material and service requirements are fulfilled in support of production, engineering, and customer delivery commitments. This position oversees procurement personnel, manages supplier communications, monitors purchasing performance, resolves supply‑chain issues, and drives supplier on‑time delivery while maintaining compliance with company procedures and contractual requirements. The Procurement Team Lead works closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Leadership, and Supplier Development to ensure an efficient and reliable supply chain that supports company objectives.

This is a full‑time, on‑site position located in Moorestown, NJ. Regular on‑site attendance is an essential function of the role. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the work location or independently relocate prior to their start date. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead daily procurement operations, assign workload, monitor team performance, and provide coaching and guidance to procurement personnel.
  • Purchase materials, components, services, and outside processing required to support manufacturing and customer requirements.
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance, expedite late orders, resolve shortages, and communicate supply risks to internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Program Management, and Quality to support projects, changes, and production schedules.
  • Review demand requirements, inventory levels, and production schedules to ensure timely procurement planning and material availability.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records within the ERP system, including purchase orders, supplier information, pricing, acknowledgments, and delivery updates.
  • Support supplier qualification activities, supplier corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with Supplier Development and Quality.
  • Develop procurement metrics, participate in management meetings, identify process improvements, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Position
  • High School diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
Experience
  • Experience with procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
  • Experience managing suppliers in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or government contracts preferred.

$65,000 - $85,000 per hour
