THE WORK
• Develop and refine assembly processes, incorporating Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
• Write concise, complete process instructions and production documentation, ensuring alignment with engineering drawings and models.
• Collaborate with production, design engineering,procurement, program management, and manufacturing personnel to address production challenges and recommend solutions.
• Investigate production problems, evaluate materials, and propose modifications to processes or tooling toenhance quality and meet manufacturing conditions.
• Design and assist in the development of tooling,including concepts for welding, brazing, painting, and finishing operations where applicable.
• Operate and program automated equipment, and utilize cranes, lifts, and hoists to support assembly of large structures, wiring, cabling, coax, fiber optics, and soldering to IPC J Std.
• Lead training initiatives, independently instructing and mentoring personnel on new processes and experimental work to drive cost reductions and quality improvements.
• Apply Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) andstandard Microsoft Office tools to support process development and data analysis.

Basic Qualifications
• Personal computer skills including standard Microsoft Office programs and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for process development.
• Ability to write concise, complete process instructions.
• Ability to work and communicate with production,design engineering, procurement, program management, and manufacturing personnel (Cross Functional Team).
• Experience with engineering drawings and models.
• Experience with large mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with fiber-optic assembly/manufacturing.
• Experience with large scale material handling equipment and overhead cranes/ lifts for assembly methods.
