• Patient triage: screening/assessment of patient care problems/issues via telephone/office – patients, medical facilities, offices, referring physicians, etc. Identifies and evaluates patient and family needs, abilities, and readiness to learn via telephone or schedules appointments. Provides instruction and teaching when possible.
• Cross‑train for routine, nuclear stress testing and stress echo, and echo with contrast.
• Blood pressure checks as ordered by cardiologist.
• Anticoagulation management – dosing, medication orders/refills;
  Lovenox management and patient education.
• TEE/​cardioversion scheduling and related tasks.
• Lab orders and result reviews.
• Clinical resource for cardiology group staff, cardiologists and assistance with patient care emergencies, IV access, and medication administration.
• Other job functions as designated by office manager.
• Participates in QI projects.

• Graduate of a Diploma/BSN Nursing program.
• Minimum two years of critical care/cardiac experience and/or previous triage or emergency department experience (preferred).
• New Jersey nursing license.
• BLS/ACLS certification.
• Proficient with IV access.
• Knowledgeable of basic and advanced arrhythmias; strong understanding of cardiac anatomy & physiology and current cardiac medications.
• Good communication skills.
