An established industrial electrical services organisation is seeking an experienced Installation Sales Manager to drive growth across its nationwide electrical installation business. This individual will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing opportunities with industrial customers, with a specific focus on the corrugated packaging industry.
The successful candidate will leverage both commercial and technical expertise to support customers through capital projects, facility expansions, equipment upgrades, line relocations, shutdowns, turnarounds, and ongoing electrical service work. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, and Installation teams, the Installation Sales Manager will own the sales process from initial prospecting through project award and project handoff.
This role is suited to a consultative sales professional who understands industrial environments, has an established network within the corrugated industry, can engage technical and executive stakeholders, and has a proven track record of growing revenue within manufacturing and industrial accounts.
Corrugated Industry Focus (Essential Requirement)We are specifically seeking candidates who already hold relationships with decision-makers within corrugated packaging facilities, including Plant Managers, Engineering Managers, Maintenance Managers, Project Engineers, Reliability Leaders, Operations Leaders, and Electrical Supervisors.
Strong backgrounds may include:
Machinery OEM SalesIndividuals selling equipment into corrugated plants, including corrugators, converting equipment, rotary die cutters, flexographic printers, folder gluers, bundling systems, strapping equipment, or other capital machinery.
Aftermarket & Service SalesSales professionals focused on rebuilds, retrofits, electrical upgrades, automation upgrades, service contracts, and reliability improvement projects within corrugated facilities.
Material Handling & Automation SalesIndividuals selling conveyor systems, palletising systems, robotics, packaging automation, stackers, bundlers, and plant automation technologies commonly found within corrugated production environments.
Candidates who can immediately leverage existing industry relationships to generate project opportunities will be considered highly attractive.
Key Responsibilities Business Development- Develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on revenue growth.
- Identify and pursue opportunities including facility expansions, electrical upgrades, controls installations, power distribution projects, shutdowns, relocations, and maintenance agreements.
- Build a robust pipeline through networking, referrals, cold outreach, OEM partnerships, contractors, engineering firms, and industry events.
- Drive both new customer acquisition and existing account growth.
- Identify repeat project opportunities and multi-site expansion opportunities.
- Establish relationships with plant leadership, engineering teams, maintenance personnel, procurement teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Conduct customer visits to understand operational challenges and future capital plans.
- Serve as the primary commercial contact throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Position the business as a trusted long-term partner.
- Lead site visits and discovery meetings.
- Develop project solutions alongside technical and operational teams.
- Support project scoping, estimating, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and project recommendations.
