Description
Lockheed Martin’s Rotary & Mission Systems (LM RMS) Program Security and Compliance invites you to step up to today’s most daunting challenges: protecting government capabilities to maintain warfighter supremacy. As a Contractor SAP Security Officer (CSSO) you’ll safeguard sensitive information and war fighting capabilities alongside program security experts, government civilians, and military members to support operational objectives.

The WorkDue to local mission requirements, an active Top Secret clearance within a 5‑year scope, or the eligibility to reinstate a TS clearance with 5‑year scope and the ability to obtain and maintain SAP & SCI access(es) is required.
The selected candidate will be responsible for day‑to‑day site security operations including:
- Administer SAP Nomination Process, processing, logging, and preparing incoming and outgoing SAP & SCI nomination packages.
- Conduct annual SETA requirements, provide security indoctrination, debriefings, pre/post travel briefings and annual refresher briefings.
- Classified document & media control, maintaining logs tracking documents in transition.
- Investigate security violations and submit required reports to the government.
- Perform administrative security functions such as organizing and filing all administrative program security paperwork.
- Maintain end‑of‑day logs, safes checks, visitor logs and pass down logs.
- Assist the government with physical security and provide escorting for uncleared personnel as required.
- Process and track incoming and outgoing Visit Authorization Requests.
- Conduct self‑inspections and manage preparations for and representation of security inspections and audits by government security personnel.
- Assist the Lead CSSO and team with additional security support as required by the RMS Special Programs Manager and the local customer.
US citizenship required as most programs and projects assigned are ITAR restricted.
Who we areThe program is eager for program security professionals. The team provides all aspects of security support services such as Personnel Security (PERSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC), Security Education and Training (SETA), Access Control, Media Control, Construction Security Management, and must have subject matter expert (SME) level understanding of industrial security regulations and procedures, including experience administering provisions of the 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DOD 5205.07 (SAP) Security Manual, and DOD 5105.21 (SCI) Security Manual.
BasicQualifications
- Active TS clearance with 5‑year scope, or eligibility to reinstate a TS clearance with 5‑year scope and ability to obtain and maintain SAP & SCI access(es).
- Team‑oriented with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in SAP or SCI programs.
- Subject Matter Expert level understanding of industrial security regulations and experience administering provisions of NISPOM, DOD 5205.07, and/or DOD 5105.21.
- Completion of CDSE SAP Mid‑Level Management Course prerequisites is preferred or ability to complete within 1 year of employment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with tact and diplomacy.
- In‑depth knowledge of DoD 5205.07, 5105.21, ICD 705, and related DoD policy.
- Knowledge of Advanced Programs Security requirements, Operations Security (OPSEC), and Program Protection Plans.
- Experience as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) and/or Media Custodian.
- ICD 705 Construction Certification.
- SAP Mid‑Level Certification.
- Works well independently and in group settings with substantial CPSO and/or CSSO experience.
- Excellent written, verbal, and customer interface skills.
- Ability to multi‑task, remain organized, and proficient in Microsoft Office.
This position requires a government security clearance; the candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
Clearance LevelTop Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years.
