The WorkLockheed Martin is looking for a proactive Software Engineer with a strong background in software engineering. In this role you will drive the design, implementation, and integration of software products that support our readiness solutions for Naval Combat and Missile Defense Programs across multiple DoW customers. You will work within an Agile environment to transform high-level system requirements into validated, deployable software.
The Software Engineer will execute software engineering processes from high-level system requirements, product requirements allocation, and product software design through software implementation. Experience with the Java programming language, algorithms, and software development is preferred. Experience with software testing is preferred.
Specific Duties- Implement software changes using modern development tools
- Integrate software applications within a larger system environment
- Regression test in larger system
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent engineering/technical degree with a concentration in computer science courses.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience and/or 1 year with a master’s degree.
- Experience with development in a Linux environment.
- Proficiency in Java development.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Level Clearance.
- Experience with Dev Sec Ops technologies.
- Experience with IDEs such as Eclipse.
- Experience with development in Linux and/or Windows.
- Experience with Agile Software Development.
- Experience with UML and/or SysML, DOORS, Cameo, Magic Draw, or IBM Rhapsody.
- Experience developing microservices and the strangler pattern.
- Experience with virtual machines.
- Experience with cloud platform providers (Amazon Web Services, Azure).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery.
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence) or Gitlab.
- Experience with static code analysis tools such as Coverity or Fortify.
- Experience with secure coding.
- Scrum Master and/or Product Owner certification.
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Robot, JUnit, Sikuli.
- Demonstrated interest and ability to learn new tools and technologies and successfully apply them in completing projects in a timely manner.
- Leadership experience (nice to have).
- AI experience (nice to have).
- Prior or current Security clearance with DoW.
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. The base range for this position in New Jersey is $75,000 - $135,961.
