Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support our Advanced Launchers and Mk 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) programs in Moorestown, NJ. You’ll join a collaborative Software Engineering team developing and supporting real-time embedded software for mission-critical systems.

• Plan, design, develop, integrate, test, debug, and document software.
• Apply object-oriented programming and software engineering principles to solve complex problems.
• Develop and implement solutions across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Support software integration, verification, and test activities.
• Apply software configuration management practices and ensure engineering standards are met.
• Independently determine technical approaches and develop solutions to challenging software problems.
• Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-quality capabilities.

You’re a software engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working as part of a collaborative team. You bring experience or knowledge in:

• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Object-oriented programming
• Real-time embedded software development
• Software integration and test
• Software configuration management
• Software design, development, debugging, and documentation

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline with applicable coursework and at least 5 years professional experience or Masters degree and 3 years related experience
• Proficiency with C++ in Linux environment
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience with Git
• Familiarity with Java
• Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level

• Experience with or knowledge of government contract support
• Experience with or knowledge of large combat systems software development
• Familiarity with cybersecurity vulnerability assessments
