Warehouse LP Supervisor

The Warehouse LP Supervisor plays a key role in optimizing workflow, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting overall supply chain efficiency. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and effective communication with internal teams and external partners, including regulatory agencies, are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Supervise and lead loss prevention/security personnel, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine patrols and security inspections to identify and mitigate safety or security risks.
  • Investigate theft, workplace incidents, and policy violations, documenting findings in detailed reports.
  • Monitor CCTV systems, alarm systems, and access control technology to detect suspicious activity.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents while coordinating with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate security team members on loss prevention techniques, de-escalation, and emergency response procedures.
  • Oversee and enforce safety and Loss Prevention programs and policies within the DC.
  • Conduct regular audits, facility inspections, and hazard assessments to identify risks and ensure OSHA and company compliance.
  • Lead incident investigations involving injuries, near-misses, and property damage; implement corrective, theft, and preventive actions.
  • Work closely with Operations team to ensure governmental agencies and company requirements remain in compliance.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs, drills, and onboarding for new hires and temp staff.
  • Maintain documentation, including training records, inspection logs, SDS, and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with leadership to promote a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Stay up to date with federal, state, and local safety regulations applicable to warehousing.
  • Conduct checks on doors, docks, gates, and alarm systems to ensure integrity and functionality.
  • Observe and report suspicious behavior, discrepancies, or violations of LP policies.
  • Must be available for potential schedule changes, including early mornings, late evenings, or weekends, with minimal notice.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness are critical in supporting Safety, Loss Prevention, and operations initiatives during peak periods or unexpected labor increases.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols in alignment with OSHA and best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory bodies such as OSHA, EPA, and local fire or health departments.
  • Travel to other facilities as needed to provide support, implement best practices, and assist with training or special projects.
  • Available to respond to off-hour calls, including late-night and weekend emergencies, to support safety incidents, investigations, or urgent operational needs.

Essential Functions:

20% Serve as the LP Department liaison to Leadership and production floor associates to ensure "buy-in" regarding shortage and safety reduction by engaging, coaching, and training.

20% Assist in creating, implementing, and enforcing SOP's

20% Maintain confidentiality involving security and/or active investigations in the workplace.

20% Oversee and drive results with Deckers LP/ Safety associates as well as, oversee overall performance and accountability of temp associates.

20% Work in conjunction with Manager of Loss Prevention, Safety and Training to mentor, & developing teammates for career performance improvement.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications needed in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Education /

Certifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in security, loss prevention, safety, risk management, or another related field.
  • Experience with MS Office Professional Suite, including Excel.
  • Workplace Violence and/or Business Continuity experience.
  • Analytical experience in performance based, action and results oriented setting.

  • Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including in off-site environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience engaging effectively across all levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • 1 year+ of leadership experience, with a focus on team coordination and operational efficiency.
  • Professional credentials in Safety certifications.
  • Experience with warehouse or distribution center services.
  • Solid understanding of best practices in safety, physical security systems, investigative techniques, and strategies for safety within distribution centers.
