Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, General Labor
SUMMARY: Maintains the building equipment, heating, cooling, electrical and plumbing systems, along with maintaining the surrounding grounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs appropriate machine maintenance as directed.
Performs maintenance on air hand tools including:
- Drills
- Screw guns
- Air Nailers
- Other tools as assigned
Performs repairs and preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment and grounds maintenance as needed.
Performs electrical maintenance.
Performs gas line maintenance.
Performs maintenance and preventative maintenance on appropriate equipment such as forklifts and company vehicles.
Performs building maintenance and preventative maintenance such as changing light bulbs, fixtures, lighting furnaces, changing filters on air conditioning units, etc.
Inspect drive belts and greases bearings on blowers and fan motors throughout the plant.
Fabricates special brackets and holders for paint line conveyor.
Welds and cuts metal as needed.
Performs monthly fire extinguisher inspections.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (continued):
Performs safety inspections on equipment as necessary.
Tear down broken or out-dated parts and equipment as necessary.
Installs furnace/air conditioning units, duct work, thermostats and wiring as needed.
Construct new rooms/offices within the building as special projects are requested.
Performs various maintenance tasks as requested throughout the plant and executive offices.
Documents and track specific job tasks on the appropriate computer systems.
Practices general shop safety and cleanliness.
Perform routine and scheduled checks on various departments and air compressors.
Drives to various locations to pick up or deliver parts and equipment as needed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED): and 4-10 years or more years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge and experience in basic electricity, carpentry, safety/electrical awareness, welding, use of hand tools, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Heating and cooling, and mechanical and forklift experience is desirable, along with basic computer skills. Able to troubleshoot, analyze and solve problems, and work closely with others is required. Good organizational skills and time management skills are required
