- Process bi-weekly payroll, including per diem, allowances, bonuses, and commissions
- Record payroll journal entries, accruals, and job-cost allocations to the general ledger
- Manage payroll taxes, employee loan reconciliations, and petty cash tracking
- Set up new vendors and assist with workers’ compensation and financial audits
- Reconcile payroll-related accounts and support month-end close
- Monitor timekeeping, expense reimbursements, and policy compliance
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with year-end filings (W-2s, tax reporting)
- 3+ years of payroll and accounting experience
- Strong understanding of payroll tax, job costing, and GAAP fundamentals
- Experience posting journal entries and reconciling GL accounts
- Proficiency in Excel and payroll/HRIS systems (Rippling or similar preferred)
- Highly organized, analytical, and able to handle confidential information
