Full Charge Bookkeeper​/Accountant

A well-established and growing organization is seeking an experienced Accountant/ Full Charge Bookkeeper to take ownership of its accounting and financial operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys working autonomously, partnering with leadership, and driving strong financial processes across the business.

The candidate will serve as a key member of the organization, providing accurate financial reporting, maintaining accounting best practices, and supporting operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and distribute financial statements and management reports
• Oversee payroll processing and related accounting activities
• Support employee benefit administration and financial recordkeeping
• Maintain general ledger integrity and account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations
• Coordinate with external accounting, tax, and professional service providers

Qualifications:

Required

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of the full accounting cycle
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Experience managing payroll and related accounting functions
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization

• Experience in product-based, operational, or inventory-focused businesses
• Prior experience serving as the lead accounting professional within a small or mid-sized organization
• Exposure to multi-entity or complex organizational structures
