Senior Electrical Project Manager
The Senior Electrical Project Manager is responsible for leading complex electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with plans, specifications, codes, and quality standards. This role serves as the primary point of coordination among clients, field leadership, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and internal project teams.

- Manage all phases of assigned electrical projects, including planning, estimating support, scheduling, procurement, execution, change management, commissioning, and closeout.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, schedules, manpower plans, and cost controls to support profitable project delivery.
- Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders to ensure scope alignment and technical accuracy.
- Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal field teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
- Provide leadership to project managers, assistant project managers, foremen, superintendents, and field personnel to promote accountability, productivity, and quality workmanship.
- Visit job sites regularly to monitor progress, address field conditions, verify safety practices, and support timely decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety requirements, company policies, contract documents, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Lead project meetings, prepare progress updates, communicate risks, and provide clear reporting to company leadership and clients.
- Manage procurement of major electrical equipment and materials, including tracking lead times, approvals, deliveries, and vendor performance.
- Identify project risks early and develop mitigation strategies related to schedule, budget, labor, materials, quality, and client expectations.
- Support business development efforts by maintaining strong client relationships, contributing to proposals, and representing the company professionally.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of electrical construction or electrical project management experience, including experience managing large commercial, industrial, institutional, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Procore is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction sequencing, drawings, specifications, codes, permitting, inspections, and commissioning requirements.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, change orders, subcontracts, purchase orders, billing, and financial reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, PMP, Certification preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on safety, quality, documentation, and financial performance.
- Ability to mentor project staff and collaborate effective with field leaders, estimators, engineers, executives, and trade partners.
This position includes a combination of office-based project management and regular jobsite visits. Travel may be required based on project locations. The role may require coordination outside standard business hours to support critical project activities, inspections, shutdowns, or schedule-driven milestones.
