Microwave Technician Pay: $22-$26.00/Hour

Anistar Technologies is seeking a Microwave Technician in Mooresville, NC. The candidate will be performing tasks associated with installation and/or maintenance of digital communication equipment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to new customer installations, service calls, de-installations, and network maintenance as directed by supervisors. The candidate will be responsible for testing, analysis, and evaluation of high reliability Nokia Wavence microwave radios, modules and/or systems.

• Knowledge of the following test equipment:
  Spectrum Analyzers, Logic Analyzer, B.E.R. testers, Power Meters, Amplifiers, Filters, Attenuators, Up/Down Converters, Power Supplies and RX/TX Converters
• Set up, adjust, and calibrate standard test apparatus or devices
• Analyzes and records testing results
• Utilize test equipment to conduct functional, operational, and environmental testing
• Perform detailed RF test measurements such as gain transfer, frequency response, noise figure, modulation and return loss using manual and automated tests
• Understand the operation of various types of test equipment such as Power Meters, Frequency Counters and Spectrum/Network Analyzers
• Must have a strong technical electronics background, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to conduct failure analysis
• Ability to maintain and establish effective working relationships with other employees, contractors, and the customer
• Knowledge in concepts, characteristics, capabilities, and theoretical design of microwave radio equipment

• Two (2) years information technology experience
• Comp TIA A+ or CompTIA Network+ Microsoft certifications a plus
• Must be service-oriented, proactive and have excellent computer skills
• Ability to configure, troubleshoot and repair PC hardware and software
• Experience delivering support for desktops, servers, and cellular devices

• 2-4 years' experience in repairing and installing microwave radio systems
• Must be SME Nokia certified on Wavence or ALU 9500
  
  MPR Microwave Radios or be able to pass certification testing within 90 days of employment
• Experience with at least one of the following: public safety communications systems, cellular infrastructure, military communications, civil infrastructure construction desired
• Understanding of two-way radio / cellular infrastructure communications products, services, and systems
• Must be able to read and interpret CAD drawings and blueprints
• Ability and willingness to learn additional technical skills quickly
• Must have knowledge of microwave path alignment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (WORD, Excel, PowerPoint & Project)
