Network Analyst

As a Level 2 Network Analyst, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of our network infrastructure to ensure reliability, performance, and security. You will play a key role in diagnosing and resolving complex network issues, as well as providing guidance and support to junior team members. The Network Analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of Duke Health's network infrastructure. This includes provisioning, installation, configuration, monitoring, design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and daily support of network devices. The role focuses on supporting the enterprise network infrastructure across Duke Health’s hospitals, clinics, data centers, and research environments. Additionally, the analyst will participate in implementing network projects of various sizes at different Duke Health locations.

You will work with a team of network professionals providing 24/7/365 on-call support, both remotely and on-site, which may involve night, holiday, and weekend work.

• Minimum associates degree in a related IT Field
• CCNP certification (CCNA also accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in network installation or a related technical field.
• Experience with various network equipment brands and configurations.
• Proficient in the installation and configuration of network hardware.
• Understanding networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

• Experience with Cisco switches

• Install and configure network hardware, including routers, switches, modems, and wireless access points.
• Retrieve hardware from warehouse and deliver hardware to installation locations. Run and terminate cables (e.g., Ethernet, fiber optic) according to industry standards.
• Ensure all installations are performed to company standards and comply with safety regulations.

• Perform routine maintenance on network equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues, both on-site and remotely.
• Test network connections to ensure proper functioning and optimal performance.

• Maintain detailed records of installations, service calls, and equipment inventory.
• Report on installation progress and any issues encountered to the Network Manager.
• Follow company protocols for handling and disposing of equipment.

• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Stay updated on the latest industry standards and best practices for network installations.
