ROUSH YATES MANUFACTURING SOLUTIONS: WHO WE ARERoush Yates Manufacturing Solutions is a precision CNC parts manufacturing organization with expertise in multi‑axis machining of metal parts with complex geometries. We produce machined parts for the automotive, aerospace, military and industrial industries.
Your day as a SHIPPING RECEIVING CLERKVerify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipments. Assembling, addressing, stamping and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking verifying and recording incoming material; and arranging for the transportation of products.
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, purchase orders, invoices or orders to verify accuracy.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages or discrepancies for reporting, accounting or recordkeeping purposes.
- Use the company ERP (Sage X3 and Proshop) to prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
- Confer or correspond with business representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages or nonconformance to specifications.
- Pack, seal, label or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, postage meter or UPS/Fed Ex software.
- Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
- Deliver or route materials to department using handtruck, pallet jack or cart.
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- Deliver orders to local customers using a company vehicle.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Basic math skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.
- Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment and be a licensed forklift operator.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- For ITAR compliance, all employees at this location must be a US citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
