OR Registered Nurse | Mooresville, North Carolina

Exceptional opportunity for an experienced Operating Room RN to support a Level 3 Trauma and Stroke Center recognized for clinical excellence. This contract position is located in Mooresville, NC, serving a busy surgical department specializing in a diverse range of cases.

Responsibilities include circulating during surgeries across numerous specialties such as trauma, orthopedic trauma, total joints, spine, cardiac, vascular, gynecology and oncology, robotics, bariatrics, and more. The ideal candidate is comfortable with both laparoscopic and open cases, demonstrating charge RN experience and scrubbing proficiency for night shifts. Flexibility, motivation, and teamwork are essential to adapt to varying case demands, including call shifts and weekend rotations.

Qualifications and Desired

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Current NC RN license and BLS certification; CNOR preferred but not mandatory
• Proven experience circulating in complex surgical cases, including trauma, ortho, cardiac, robotics, and others listed above
• Charge RN experience with scrubbing skills, especially for night shifts
• Ability to respond promptly to call shifts with a 45-minute response time
• Self-driven, flexible, and collaborative mindset

Scheduling and Shift Details:

• Rotating weekends approximately every 4th weekend
• Shift options may include 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p, and night schedules (11p-7a)
• Call shifts averaging 6 over a 6-week cycle, with holiday coverage expected at 75%
• 2-day departmental orientation provided
