• Minimum 3 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience (medical-surgical registered nurse)
• Active NC or Compact RN license (must be in hand at submission)
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (Stroke Certification)
• Experience with electronic charting systems and clinical documentation
• Comfortable managing a 1:6 patient ratio in a busy hospital setting
• One supervisory reference within the last year
• Previous charge nurse, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions or declinations accepted)

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med/Surg unit as a hospital RN
• Manage a 1:6 patient ratio, providing comprehensive assessments, interventions, and documentation
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias (telemetry monitoring experience preferred)
• Care for post-operative patients (bariatric, ortho, thoracic), including wound, drain, and dressing management
• Administer medications and blood products; manage IVs, central lines, and ports
• Provide care for patients with acute and chronic conditions (MI, renal failure, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response to coordinate patient care
• Follow isolation precautions and appropriate PPE protocols
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation and complete required modules for travel nurses
