At Minnesota State Community and Technical College (M State), we're seeking an experienced Academic Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the School of Business and Information Technology to become a key partner in advancing student success across our multi-campus institution.
This is more than an administrative role. You'll serve as the operational hub of a large academic division, working directly with the Dean, faculty, staff, and stakeholders to coordinate initiatives, manage projects, support hiring and budgeting processes, oversee communications, and help drive strategic priorities.

You'll play a critical role by:
- Leading and coordinating major School of Business and IT projects and initiatives
- Managing administrative operations for a complex academic unit
- Supporting budgeting, reporting, hiring, onboarding, and faculty evaluation processes
- Maintaining department web content, SharePoint sites, and communications
- Coordinating course scheduling and faculty workload management
- Serving as a trusted resource for faculty, staff, students, and community partners
- Providing executive-level support to the Dean and academic leadership team
- Experience supporting senior leaders in higher education, government, healthcare, or other complex organizations
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- The ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- A commitment to confidentiality, customer service, and continuous improvement
- Higher education administrative experience is strongly preferred.
$22.62 to $30.62 per hour
$47,231 to $63,935 annually
ScheduleMonday-Friday | 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. / Summer schedule may differ
