Position Overview
Full-time Plumbing Faculty at Minnesota State Community and Technical College Moorhead Campus (MSTA). Begin Fall semester 2026. The role is within a 171-day academic contract during a nine-month academic year (mid-August to mid-May).
Responsibilities- Instructional planning and delivery.
- Teaching and facilitating student learning.
- Curriculum planning and development.
- Assessment of student performance at course and departmental level, and contribution to college general education level assessment.
- Classroom management.
- Maintenance of professional skills and credentials.
- Participation in department meetings, coordination activities, and college-wide committees.
- Diploma or completion of an apprenticeship in plumbing.
- Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in residential and commercial plumbing.
- One year of this work experience within the five years immediately preceding the application date; recency requirement waived if two years of successful full-time or equivalent postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
- State of Minnesota licensed master plumber or licensed journeyman plumber.
- Familiarity with and commitment to the mission and constituencies of a comprehensive community and technical college.
- Teaching experience at the post-secondary level or with adult learners.
- Outstanding communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to establish a positive learning environment that promotes retention, accountability, diversity, equity, excellence, innovation, collaboration, safety, and personal/professional growth.
- Ability to work with diverse populations.
