Assistant Soccer Coach/Game Operations Assistant Responsibilities

Instruct student‑athletes to strengthen their soccer skills and teamwork. Demonstrate solid knowledge of soccer rules, gameplay, and training techniques. Exhibit exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, staff, and administration. Apply coaching strategies and lead and mentor student‑athletes. Monitor the academic and athletic performance of student‑athletes. Create a positive and inclusive team environment. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall function of the athletic department.

Potentially teach limited classes in Health & Human Performance. Assist in game operations for selected sports. Contribute to student growth and development. Support Minnesota State University Moorhead’s strategic priority of creating a diverse, inclusive, globally aware, and just campus community.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Commitment to the academic success of student‑athletes.
• Coaching experience at the collegiate or club level.
• Ability to recruit top‑level student‑athletes.
• Effective communication and computer skills.

• Skill or ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching.
• Two years of collegiate soccer coaching experience.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division II and NSIC conference rules and regulations.

The successful candidate must lawfully accept employment in the United States by the day employment begins. The University is unable to offer H1‑B sponsorship. Official transcripts from all degree‑granting institutions must be provided to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first duty day.
